As Director of Design at KYN, Carlota brings over 15 years of experience in architecture and design, with a portfolio spanning everything from large-scale masterplans to bespoke door handles. Her background includes time at Zaha Hadid Architects and ColladoCollins Architects, and she has since deepened her expertise in designing specifically for later life, including further study focused on the intersection of dementia and design at the University of Stirling.
Carlota is passionate about creating quality homes that respond to individual requirements and are adaptable to residents' needs. She sees design as more than aesthetics – it's about shaping emotion, fostering comfort, and creating spaces that feel personal rather than institutional. At KYN, this philosophy has guided projects such as KYN Hurlingham, where she led the sensitive restoration of a Grade II listed building alongside designer Nina Campbell, blending original period features with modern additions to create a home rooted in warmth, dignity, and belonging.
